She Want

When the night fall
she hear the call of the street life
she want to shine in the limelight
hitting the streets with her dress tight
staring at the flickerin' light, wondering what it would be like.

Injects her poison,
love potion set in motion to the gentlemen
promising her fame for an exchange of her leather scented skin
tattoo contours felt, bloody scars on her back, smear of her lipstick
traits of a medusa disguised behind sexual bliss.

Shadowed eyes, gaze made stoned
kisses so cold, words unspoken
white lines run her movements
Dollar bills made for sniffin'
mirrors not for lookin'
reflection of how she's hooked in.

Now she dances with strangers
she don't know the name of
now the city has claimed her
but she doesn't care.
she know that it's dangerous
she wants to be famous
but she's not ashamed
cause there ain't nothing there.

Hittin' the strobe light in back ally's
takin' quarter shots, slurring herself verbally
liquor on her breath got her feeling right
blinding of the paparazzi light
got her black masquera runnin' cause all she knows is how to flaunt
chasing high rollers, stacked with paper cause that's all she want want,
she want want, come and get it get it, she want want.
